One Body Many Parts
My home church is Full Harvest International in Gardena, a world changing church. Over the years I have become member of many churches initially just to fill my week with worship services and fellowship, but then getting more involved with the work and vision of each over time I have learned much about the Body of Christ. The Body has many parts, but not all have the same function. Not all church leaders have the same God given visions of where and how to operate church. The Apostle Paul would preach the gospel to angry sinners, get stoned nearly to death for it, then later say, "praise God I got stoned for Christ!" lol! But he also wrote letters to the church that was in Rome. A church positioned securely within a place where all the persecution was originating. I’m sure this church was much more quiet about how to do ministry. Paul even wrote letters to Christians that were living in king Cesar’s house. That’s how close this church was to the heart of Rome. And he wrote to rich Christians "not to trust in their riches, but in the living God..." Point is that Paul’s vision and calling of ministry was not the same as that of the church in Rome and others. "For as we have many members in one body, and all members have not the same office." (Romans 12:4) "If the foot shall say, Because I am not the hand, I am not of the body; is it therefore not of the body? And if the ear shall say, Because I am not the eye, I am not of the body; is it therefore not of the body? If the whole body were an eye, where were the hearing? If the whole were hearing, where were the smelling? But now hath God set the members every one of them in the body, as it hath pleased him. And if they were all one member, where were the body? But now are they many members, yet but one body. And the eye cannot say unto the hand, I have no need of thee: nor again the head to the feet, I have no need of you. Nay, much more those members of the body, which seem to be more feeble, are necessary: And those members of the body, which we think to be less honorable, upon these we bestow more abundant honor; ... the members should have the same care one for another...1 Corinthians 12 It is a good thing when brothers walk together in unity, putting aside petty differences for the works sake. Some may disagree with me, but I don’t think it is healthy to want to change the vision of every pastor if they are doing church different than I would. Best to stand back and re-evaluate the vision and office and give honor. Too many think the way to deal with differences of operation is to disagree and attempt to change things. But I am convinced these differences are of God, put in place to secure the gospel where others cannot reach. If you disagree with me reading this right now, good. Maybe you are supposed to. lol! Jesus said, "The Kingdom of God suffers violence, but the violent take it by force." But not everyone is violent. There are hundreds of ways to reach people individually and on grand scale, as long as the A.B.C’s are used. A. Acknowledge need of a savior. B. Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ. C. Confession made unto salvation.
Hello ladies and gentleman, my name is ______ , and I am an evangelist in this area. I just wanted to talk with you about something important to all of us. I am not here to ask you for money, I am well provided for; and I'm not going to try and sell you anything, but just to talk about something close to all of us. Every year around 90,000 people die in hospitals–from medical mistakes. That is one American dies in a hospital from a medical error or a lethal infection every six minutes. Medical blunders are the eighth leading cause of death in the United States. A horrifying 43,443 died in car accidents in one year–one American is killed by a traffic accident every 12 minutes. That may make you want to stay home. Think again. One American is killed in an accident at home every 29 minutes–that’s an annual total of over 18,000 deaths. One American is accidentally poisoned to death every 27 minutes (19,457). Falls killed 17,227 people back in 2004–that is, one every 31 minutes. One American is killed by a drunk driver every 31 minutes (16,885). And we won't even talk about the murder rate in America. Forgive me if I have troubled you, I truly care about people. And if your wondering why I bring all this up, it is because it is something we all have in common. 10 out of 10 people will die, and we never know when our time will be. It could be a few days from now. It could be a few weeks or a year, or it could be today. So the most important question to ask yourself; it's the million dollar question: If you died today, if your heart stopped beating right now, would you go to Heaven, or to a place called Hell? Most people believe they would go to Heaven; not all, but we ask people on the street this question and 9 out of 10 people believe they will go to Heaven because they think they are a good person. They think that their good will outweigh their bad and God will let them in. Well, we have a little test for you to be sure you will make it. We call it, "the good person test." The test consists of four questions, and if you answer these four questions honestly, without a doubt you will know where you stand if you were to die today. I'm not going to tell you that you are doing anything wrong, nor am I going to tell you that you are going to Hell. Just four questions, and if your honest with yourself, the test will work.
