* The food ministry team
led by Dan Hubbard feeds the homeless weekly in the Los Angeles- Santa Monica
area. We meet every week at 7:30 am sharp in the parking lot
of the 99 cent store in Redondo Beach, Ca. The cross streets
are 190th and Anza.
There, we set up a table and make about
300 sandwiches and bag them as well, yep, right there in the
middle of the parking lot. Then we load up the van
and drive to a nearby Whole Foods store that donates food every
week.
Then we drive to Santa Monica City
Hall, where out in front on the lawn over 100 homeless
people wait for our van every week. Sometimes the number
reaches 150+. They line up behind the
van, and one of us gives a short message from the Bible,
then a prayer, then we all dig into the food. What food is
left over [always alot], we take to Venice Beach and feed
the homeless that are there as well.
Prayer and ministry takes place before feeding, clothing and
Bible distribution.

Ministry has been at this for over 15 years, and he also
does evangelism at gay pride parades and Muslim festivals.
